Rock On at The Normans

Here at The Normans, we like to think of ourselves as being a bit rock 'n' roll. But we felt positively dorky in the company of actual rocker Lee Malia - lead guitarist of Bring Me the Horizon - who wed the beautiful Deni here last month. (Oh, and their dog Blue got in on the action too.)

The couple decorated the barrels in the Ceremony Barn, with two rather awesome displays of succulents, peonies and eucalyptus.

The length of the aisle, meanwhile, was strewn with white petals, as well as tall candles in glass hurricane glasses. (Beware brides with big dresses!)

Gypsophelia (aka 'Baby's Breath') formed pretty pew ends, tied to chairs with rustic hessian string.

Over in The Normans marquee, vintage-style peonies in a soft peach hue were paraded on candelabras, with trailing greenery giving a modern edge.

With the scene set, a rather stunning Deni sauntered to The Ceremony Barn to meet her man, carrying this dramatic cascading bouquet - the handiwork of the talented Kate Mell Flowers

Feeling some fishtail envy coming on? (Us too!) Deni wore Morilee by Madeline Gardner, which she found at Bliss boutique in Doncaster.  Her bridesmaids oozed glamour too, dressed in glittering rose gold gowns from Goddiva

Deni and Lee were wed before our cascading fairylights by cool and quirky celebrant Louisa Starr - she of Starr Gazing Ceremonies (see our recommended suppliers for deets!)

With the duo officially wed, it was celebration time in the courtyard, where guests got their party on to live tunes from the fantastic Got It Covered (When he's not hanging out at The Normans, the lead singer can also be seen performing on Broadway, don't you know!)

The rustic table plan was stood on The Normans' very own easel (yes, you can use it for your big day too!), showing guests where to take their seats for a mouthwatering meal by one of our fave caterers, The Hog & Apple Food Co.

While Thai Tom Yum Broth was served to start, meat-eaters were treated to beef and pulled pork for their main course (and a pepper tian-style burger for the veggies.)

Dessert, meanwhile, came in the delicious form of a salted caramel cheesecake, served upon a fittingly rustic board.

With the party in full swing, the newlyweds took a little time out for photos on The Normans farmland. Well, almost alone... (spot the photo-bomber!) Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Malia!

The Normans is by far the most amazing venue we have ever seen. It’s so stunning and has a really rustic and classy feel to it. If we could do it all over again we would - and we wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you all so much for everything, we had the best day of our lives!
