BANDS
This Leeds-based music agency provides a range of bands, DJs and musicians to events in the North, across the UK, and even globally! But it’s here at The Normans where their hand-picked talent often lands.
Liven up your drinks reception or fill the dance floor with the mighty New York Brass Band. NYBB plays everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to Rio Carnival - but they always make time for The Normans!
Big songs, big vocals and a great repertoire - Monotones bring the ultimate party atmosphere. Whether you’ve got 30 guests or 150, you’re in for a treat with this award-winning wedding band.
A high-energy party band with multiple lead vocalists who provide a distinctive take on many genres. This specialist wedding band offers evening rock line-ups, as well as DJ and acoustic afternoon packages.
DJs
As well as having great bands on its books, Jonny Ross Music has a roster for
top-drawer DJs.
Night owls discos
Night Owls offers a ‘first-class disco experience’, as well as a ‘dry-hire’ option, so couples can play their own music.
DJ Ed Marshall
Independent Harrogate-based DJ Ed will expertly curate the soundtrack to your evening at The Normans.
Singers
Super-talented Lewis sings, plays a multitude of instruments (guitar, sax, piano), and DJs (very well). Lewis can play music for your walk down the aisle, the drinks reception thereafter and even keep the party going into the evening. Highly recommended.
Talented singer and guitarist Daisy Kate is a perfect pick for wedding ceremony music and the drinks reception thereafter. Daisy boasts a varied repertoire: classic soul and pop hits (and a couple of Spanish numbers thrown in for good measure).
Jenna Bay Music
Yorkshire-based Jenna has a fantastic vocal range and a truly unique voice. A great choice for singing you down the aisle or serenading your wedding guests during the drinks reception. Check out more of her music on Spotify.
These charismatic performers blend in with waitstaff and break into song to surprise and delight your guests at your wedding breakfast. Great fun.
CLASSICAL
STrings
There’s a timeless romance to the sound of the violin and cello, which makes a string trio (or quartet) the perfect acoustic accompaniment for your wedding - whether it’s walking down the aisle or sipping drinks in the sunshine afterwards. Happily, there are plentiful talented musicians in Yorkshire for you to choose from. The Simply Strings Trio (pictured) has been playing at the venue for years now, as have Northern String Quartet. Ebor Quartet are a quality York-based outfit, and Aurora Strings are another popular choice with our couples.
Classically trained violinist Joel offers a unique music experience. Based in York, Joel can provide music for ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
Martin Hamer is a seasoned wedding pianist based near Leeds. Martin can provide bespoke performances for ceremony, drinks reception, and the wedding breakfast.
