For those of you have been eagerly awaiting the latest installment of our Blog (anyone?!), please accept our apologies for the radio silence. We've been busy bees here at The Normans with weddings and whatnot (not to mention a spot of DIY - fine-tuning the venue before winter-wedding season starts in earnest).
However, we're back, wearing our game faces, and happy to share these quite wonderful images of our first September wedding, taken by local York photographer, and all round nice guy, Luke Bell.
Stunning, sporty couple Jess (British Heptahlete) and Matt (he races motorbikes - no big deal), tied the knot on September 10th, 2016, and held their reception at The Normans. And what a reception it was...
Guests were greeted by bubbly-bearing waitstaff, before being ushered into a sun-filled Courtyard. Here, acoustic duo The Cakes played quirky takes on contemporary classics and guests enjoyed an array of tasty canapes, courtesy of CWC.
After two-hours of relaxed merrymaking, the doors to the marquee barn were opened and guests entered the stunning space, which had been beautifully embellished with wonderful table centrepieces crafted by florist extraordinaire Kate Mell.
After a three-course feast, The Normans regular Kyle - a Jonny Ross Music DJ - enticed revellers onto the dancefloor, mixing tracks in sync with a live saxophonist.
Meanwhile, outside, our Ceremony Barn was transformed into a chill-out area, complete with the PoshPampa Campa VW Camper photo booth and tasty late-night snacks, provided by the lovely Laura at El Kantina.
It really was the wedding that had everything - an amazing, jam-packed afternoon and evening of fun, which will be remembered by bride and groom, friends and family, and us, for years to come.
