Oliver and Laura Robinson are the husband-and-wife team behind The Normans wedding venue. (They’re also parents to daughters Ivy and Violet, a scruffy border terrier, Norma, a 3-legged rescue lurcher called Bob and a pug puppy named, er, ‘Barbie’.)

Their love story began in Dubai, where they met whilst working as magazine editors, before deciding to trade sun, sea and glamour for muddy wellies and country life - moving to Oliver's family farm, The Normans. 

They tied the knot at The Normans in 2014, which inspired them to transform part of the farm into a cool, country venue!

From one husband and wife team to another: Sharon and David.

You’ll likely meet the lovely Sharon when you come to view The Normans. She’s worked as The Normans Events Manager since 2017, having previously known the Robinson family for a number of years.

Sharon’s husband David, a former military man, is the latest recruit to Team Normans. As Estate Manager, David is charged with the day-to-day running of the venue and keeping it immaculate for viewings and weddings.

The Normans isn't just a wedding venue - it's been the Robinson family’s home for three generations and, as such, is a place close to our hearts.

We don't want The Normans to become a 'conveyor-belt' for weddings - we want to provide an exclusive setting for couples to make their own.

We care about the venue, and our personal approach means that no event need look or feel the same, nor will you be treated like ‘just another’ bride and groom, groom and groom, or bride and bride!
